Photographer in Little Rock. LeMay Photography studio provides real estate, headshots, business, child, family, child photos. It was time for a winter event that only comes once or twice a year here in Central Arkansas. I like to watch the weather maps on the TV because they change from day to day. I learned as a small child that when there was an "H" just north of Arkansas and an "L" in the Gulf of Mexico and the temp was below freezing, it could snow. It didn't often snow, usually stopping in the mountains of north Arkansas just short of Little Rock. Weather forecasting continues to improve, and accuracy seems to be the target of most meteorologists, so paying attention has become necessary. When someone is coming for a portrait session, they don't want a stressful situation, like driving through a blizzard or sliding around on slick ice. Also, I would rather not travel through dangerous territory to get to an "on location" session. I am a much better photographer when I'm not stressed out worrying about the safety of my clients or my safety during a period of bad weather. The sleet started early in the morning as the day was beginning. I was alerted with a "tink-tink-tink" on my north-facing window. I was grateful for the sleet instead of freezing rain because freezing rain can bring down power lines leaving the entire region cold and dark. Trying to remain productive is difficult but possible with modern computers.
