We are still making our business portraits or headshots, child, senior, and family portraits during the current pandemic, taking the utmost care to respect all that enter our door. Our policy is to wear a mask if our guests request it. Recently I photographed a family from India, they had a small son too young for the vaccine, so they asked me to wear my mask, which I was glad to wear. My only problem with wearing a mask while shooting is I get very out of breath and my glasses tend to fog up quite a bit. I usually shoot off of a ladder to achieve a pleasing angle especially for women and getting dizzy while on the ladder is not a good strategy. I have to be thoughtful when working on location being considerate of my client's wishes. If they are wearing a mask it's a good idea to start with a mask and of course maintaining a proper distance. When I make real estate photos and I ring the doorbell I now step back at least six feet if not more. Hopefully, the homeowners are expecting me and we can have a good session photographing their home and hopefully resulting in a profitable sale. Making real estate photos is especially difficult while wearing a mask. Real estate photography can be rather strenuous while negotiating stairs and steep yards. Dogs are not quite sure about masks and you have to be ever vigilant around large predators.
