This last week went by fast with the business headshots, seniors, family, and real estate photography. I was able to photograph one property that could have been in Paris as it featured paintings by Picasso and Matisse and many statues that I know nothing about except they looked expensive. Small snapshots found in any home were placed in the corner of a masterpiece. These photos show the value of simple things, such as family photos. When a tornado levels a home and the owner is frantically searching through the rubble, these photos are often the subject of their search. Simple things are hard to destroy and only grow in value.
One simple thing for me is my location as I write this blog, Hibernia Irish Pub. I visited Ireland with my entire family several years ago. I hopped for several evenings at Irish pubs enjoying the local food and music. My lack of energy at the end of the day and my children's desire to go out for the evening became apparent, leaving granddad and grandmother to babysit. After returning from Ireland, I visited Hibernia Irish Pub, and I finally had the experience I was hoping for, which was right on Rodney Parham in Little Rock. The bar has the trappings of the real deal and a bartender from the Republic of Ireland who has my favorite drink before me be I get settled in with my laptop. I like to write to the cadence of the music.
