 Natural Light vs. Flambient Lighting

In the world of real estate photography, capturing the perfect shot requires an understanding of light—both natural and artificial. I specialize in a unique approach that blends these two techniques, offering clients the best of both worlds: natural light and flambient lighting.

For properties bathed in beautiful, soft daylight, I prefer to use natural light to highlight the home’s best features. This approach helps create a warm, inviting atmosphere while maintaining color accuracy and depth. I use this technique to showcase rooms where daylight flows in, such as living rooms with large windows or kitchens with sunlit counters, making the space feel airy and spacious.

However, not all spaces benefit from natural light alone. In rooms with little natural light or during the evening hours, I turn to flambient lighting. This technique combines available natural light with carefully balanced artificial lighting. I use flash to fill in shadows while preserving the ambient light to ensure the room feels natural. This approach results in images that are well-lit, balanced, and free of harsh shadows, bringing out the full potential of every space.

Using both methods strategically, I ensure that each property is showcased in the best possible light—the golden glow of daylight or the harmonious blend of natural and artificial light.
