This week, we made senior portraits, business headshots, and real estate photos. The seniors need their yearbook photos, and some want the more extended sessions involving multiple changes of outfits. During the cooler periods of the year, we take a lot of these photos outside in a nearby neighborhood with large wooded areas, providing relatively remote shooting with plenty of shady light, which is suitable for portraits. However, the temperature has been blisteringly hot; we have stayed inside with the seniors and the air conditioning. We see the new employees of several large firms who use photos in various ways on emails, business media, and advertising. We will see a senior once in their lifetime. However, a large firm continues to send us customers week after week. We try to make the photos of these firms conform to the business's branding requirements, resulting in professional-looking web pages and other documents. We deliver the finished product right away along with the invoice. While the session is fresh on our minds, we do the artwork and send the invoice. We have worked with some of these firms for many years and value their continued patronage. National Geographic will never feature business headshots since they are not glamorous; however, they can substantially affect the person's career. We enjoy meeting a continuous stream of exciting professionals. Last week we were suddenly offered a real estate photo shoot of a seven thousand square feet home; we got it squeezed in and delivered to the agent.
