Looking Forward to the New Year

January 8, 2023

We aim to improve our business portraits, headshots, real estate photography, and senior, newborn, child, and family portraits in the coming year. I love learning new things and techniques and have always been bold in asking those who produce the desired photos. I recently wanted to improve the lighting in pictures with ceiling fans. I had noticed a small, sharp shadow on the ceiling from each blade for some time. As I looked at other photographers' work, I determined there was a way around this problem. What's next? After several YouTube videos, I asked a friend/photographer for some advice. It came like a flood. He shared the equipment needed and even looked up the items on Amazon, helping figure out the best price. I ordered those pieces immediately; of course, Amazon had the things in my hands in a couple of days. I started to experiment using these new pieces of m craft. I had to be careful since I could not take any more time from the agent, so I spread my research over a couple of months. Occasionally, I got just the effect I wanted; I just needed to be more consistent. Slowly through several houses, I managed to nail down my technique which I was happy with. The ceilings are clean, with few annoying shadows. It may sound like little, but the craft and business of professional photography require this type of attention to detail. You should update your art and procedures frequently.
