Well, the first month of 2023 is almost in the history books, and we continue making our headshot, business, family, child, and real estate photos. We've recently made business portraits or headshots in the studio and on location. It is not unusual for a party atmosphere to appear at location sessions. People gather around the iPad to help their friends pick the best photos; they have a good time. Happy people make the best photos; if the new portraits are associated with a good time, that's helpful when maintaining a satisfied client. Many people have a poor self-image, and it is gratifying to provide a portrait they are proud of. Annual school portraits are opportunities for ridicule, and attitude can last into adulthood. At a studio session, it might take me almost one hour to get some men to relax and respond appropriately to the camera with priceless expressions.
2023 Up and Running
January 29, 2023
The real estate photography business has its ups and downs, but jobs pop up at the last minute; I like that aspect of the real estate photography business. This time of the year, property owners are trying to clean up their balance sheets for tax purposes. This tax strategy involves selling their holdings, which interests me because they need marketing materials such as photos. These investment holdings are usually not elegant homes of decor and style but are generally very rough and sometimes scary but can be an unprofitable component of a company's financial structure. Google is helpful with connections.
