Caps and Gowns in the Spring

May 29, 2022

Photographer Little Rock is making senior, child, business headshots, and family portraits. We work with schools in Central Arkansas, making yearbook, senior, and graduation photos for private high schools. We have concentrated on private schools since they tend to be smaller and more manageable for our small staff. Instead, we would rather work with a few hundred students than thousands of students. Graduation season is upon us, and the grads are on the march. Proud moms and dads stand while rows and rows of gown-clad grads process in listening to the same music as one hundred years ago. The grads are just minutes away from a significant accomplishment and look forward to immediately starting down a new path of college or employment. LeMay Photography provides group and individual photos as the grads receive their diploma. Making many consecutive photos is a challenging opportunity as there is no stopping or even slowing down. The girls' high school photos go slowly through, listing each girl's academic accomplishments and their destination of higher learning. They are in long gowns, so quickly moving is not possible or safe. The first photo of the ceremony is of a large group of grads taken from a second-story balcony; the state-wide newspaper runs the image the following Sunday. My wife and daughters attended this school, so I am highly motivated to do the best job possible. The boys' high school is different; the only photo I take there shows the boy getting his diploma, more later.
